Uttam Pawar is a software engineer with 3.6 years of experience. He juggles between writing clean code and debugging production errors. He is one of the core members of the development team at UserExperior. He is very passionate about coding and you’ll likely find him taking care of production deployment.
I am passionate about coding and solving problems. I was looking for new opportunities for developing software that creates an impact. That’s when I came across UserExperior. In June 2019, I had my first virtual meeting with Vimlesh, the Founder. Since then it has been an amazing journey with UserExperior. Vimlesh has always encouraged me to take up new and exciting challenges.
I like to stay fit with yoga in the morning. I start working around 10:30-11:00 am. My priorities start with checking emails for client issues. I organize all the day’s tasks according to their priority. I use Microsoft's to-do list tool to keep track of my progress. I handle many production issues and sometimes stay up late at night to firefight.
We face challenges regularly. This one time, we had a production issue early in the morning. I had to work on it without the help of a senior. It was an out-of-syllabus question! But I decided to go ahead and find a solution. I was able to deploy the code and get the issue resolved. It felt great to get the work done by myself.
At UserExperior, we have a monthly Fun-friday. It’s filled with fun virtual games (which I almost always lose). As a penalty, the team asked me to perform something. Eventually, I thought of a Marathi film's song: “Zing-zing-zingat”. The team played the songs and I danced very awkwardly to it. My steps were untidy, but everyone was clapping and shouting and enjoying this dance. I was embarrassed but darn, it was fun!
We have fun at UserExprior along with creating a world-class product. I find my job challenging and enjoyable. My colleagues are warm and friendly. I can always reach out to people for assistance. The most important thing about UserExperior is that it is customer-oriented. We are constantly taking feedback and working on making our product for the users.
I consider myself a focused, multitasker, and team player. I strongly stand by the quote, “Alone We Can Do So Little. Together We Can Do So Much”.
I believe that “Life's too short to care about others’ opinions”. I focus on my work and don’t let negative talk demotivate me.
I get motivation from Sandeep Maheshwari. I like his thoughts, they motivate me in doing something new. He once said, “Give 100% of your efforts to work, only then will you be successful”. Phrases like these motivate me.
